Legal document

What personal data Digicat receives through this website, what we do with it and how you can ask for access, correction or deletion.

Last updated:

  • We only receive what you send: the assessment request or a conversation you start on WhatsApp.
  • We use this data to answer your request and talk about your business. Nothing else.
  • Requests are kept in our own database, with access restricted to the Digicat team.
  • This website does not use advertising cookies, social media pixels or third-party analytics tools.
  • We do not sell, rent or give away personal data.
  • You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your data at any time at contato@digicat.com.br.

Who is responsible for the data

The controller of the personal data received through this website is Digicat Agência Digital e Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda, Brazilian company registration (CNPJ) 35.371.745/0001‑41, headquartered at Av. Tancredo Neves, 1189, Edif. Guimarães Trade, room 1603, Caminho das Árvores, Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, ZIP 41820‑021, under Brazilian Law No. 13,709/2018 (the General Data Protection Law, LGPD).

The data protection officer is Edgardo Balduccio Falbo, at contato@digicat.com.br.

What data we receive

In the assessment request, you provide:

  • Name.
  • WhatsApp number.
  • Email, if you choose to.
  • Company or industry.
  • The services you are interested in and, if you wish, one line about what you want to solve.

Along with the request, the website records the page and the link it was sent from, the language, the date and time, the version of this policy and the browser used. From your IP address we keep only an encrypted summary, which cannot be turned back into the IP and is used only to block mass submissions. If you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your profile name, your number and the messages you send.

Access logs

As with any website, the hosting services generate technical access logs, such as IP address, date, time and browser. They exist to keep the website running and to investigate failures or abuse, and are not used to build profiles or for advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

This website does not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, heatmaps or third-party analytics tools.

It stores a functional mark in your browser: whether the cat animation has already played during this visit. This mark disappears when you close the tab and does not identify you.

It also stores a functional cookie with the country you are browsing from (for example, BR), derived from your connection's internet address, to show the right phone country code and currency. This cookie stores only the country code, lasts 30 days and does not identify you.

If we start using any measurement or tracking tool, this policy will be updated first, asking for consent where the law requires it.

What we use the data for

  • Answering your request and talking to you, on WhatsApp or by email.
  • Understanding your business and preparing the assessment.
  • Preparing a proposal, when appropriate.
  • Keeping the history of our service.
  • Protecting the website against mass submissions and abuse.

We do not use your data for mass advertising and do not pass it on to third parties for marketing.

Legal bases

The processing is based on Article 7 of the LGPD:

  • Preliminary procedures related to a contract, at the data subject's request (item V): you ask us for the assessment, and we use your data to provide it.
  • Legitimate interest (item IX), limited to website security, the history of our service and abuse prevention.

Who we share data with

We do not sell, rent or give away personal data.

We use service providers that run the infrastructure: Vercel, which hosts the website, and Hetzner, which hosts the server and the database where requests are stored. They act as processors, handle the data only to provide this service and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.

When you use WhatsApp, the conversation goes through the WhatsApp service, which handles your account data under its own terms and privacy policy.

We may also share data when required by law or by order of a competent authority.

How long we keep it

We keep requests for as long as they are needed for our service and for any relationship that comes from it, or until you ask for deletion, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

You can ask for deletion at any time through the channel given in this policy.

Security

We take technical and administrative measures proportionate to the risk: encrypted traffic (HTTPS), a database on an isolated server with access restricted by password and keys, and access to requests limited to the team that serves you.

No system is immune to incidents. If a security incident with relevant risk occurs, we will notify the people affected and the Brazilian Data Protection Authority (ANPD), as the law requires.

Your rights

The LGPD gives you, at any time and upon request, the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your data and access it.
  • Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Ask for anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data.
  • Ask for data portability to another provider, under the regulations.
  • Ask for deletion of your data.
  • Know which entities we share your data with.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest.

How to exercise your rights

Send your request to contato@digicat.com.br, saying what you want. We may ask for information to confirm your identity before acting: this check exists to protect you.

We answer within the deadlines set by the LGPD. If you find the answer insufficient, you can file a complaint with the Brazilian Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

International transfer

Vercel and Hetzner may store or process data outside Brazil. This transfer relies on the cases set out in Article 33 of the LGPD, such as the one needed to fulfill the request you made, and we choose providers with protection guarantees compatible with this policy.

Children and teenagers

This website is aimed at professionals and companies and is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children or teenagers. If we find such a request, it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the website, in our providers or in the law. The last updated date, at the top of this page, shows the version in force. Important changes will be announced prominently.

Requests for access, correction or deletion can be sent to the data protection officer's email:
